No, indeed. Their knowledge does not attain to the Hereafter (as they have desired only the worldly life and wasted their faculties of learning in pursuit of worldly knowledge). No, indeed, for (despite being informed about it through Revelation) they remain in doubt about it. No, indeed, for they remain blind to (all the arguments about) it
No indeed, (but) their knowledge has been overtaken (i.e., their knowledge is insignificant) as to the Hereafter; no indeed, they are in doubt of it; no indeed, they are willfully blind to it
Nay, their knowledge of the Hereafter stops short of conviction. Nay, they are in doubt concerning it. Nay, they block their mind in blindness from realizing (the unwavering Law of Requital)
Nay, (the fact is) their knowledge about the Hereafter has found its limit. Rather they are in doubt about it (- the life after death). Rather they are totally blind to it (- the existence of God Himself)
The truth is that their knowledge about the Hereafter terminated after reaching (its) limit, but they are just (caught) in doubt about it. Nay, they are blind to its (exact knowledge)
However their knowledge attaineth some notion of the life to come: Yet they are in an uncertainty concerning the same; yea, they are blind as to the real curcumstances thereof
Whereas they have an accumulation of knowledge about the eternal life to come. No, they are in doubt thereof... No, they are blind to it!
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Nay, but their knowledge falls as to the Hereafter; nay, they are in doubt about it; nay they are quite blind unto it
Al-muntakhab fi tafsir al-Qur'an al-Karim
No, but their knowledge of the Hereafter has reached a dead-lock giving occasion to uncertainty. No, but their doubt stands as the beacon of the unwise, in fact, their notion of the Hereafter has fallen on the blind spot
No, their knowledge has reached (its limit with regard to its penetration) into the hereafter, no, they are in a doubt regarding it, no, they are blind regarding it. (R 5)
